Liberty is back again! This time in the form of an updated, purple version of the tropical Tresco print that featured in our S/S13 collection. The black mesh top of this dress is overlaid with a double layer bustier that is slashed in a deep-V to the waist. From here, the Liberty Tresco that splashes over the outer bustier, flows into a full and flared skater skirt, finished nicely with a neat black hem and a net-trimmed petticoat that adds extra volume.

Awww, we’re as much in love with looking through other peoples weddings as the newly weds are with each other.
From the choice of table decorations, to the grand venues of Babbington House and Amberley Castle where we’ve seen celebs tie the knott, it spirals us into daydreaming about our own fairytale day. Totally loving our wedding week, inspired by princess Diana’s wedding anniversary to Prince Charles yesterday.

Now to focus on the part your going to play as the best dressed wedding guest!!

You’ve got the occasion, we’ve got the occasion dresses!

Now that wedding season is in full boom and we’ve all been wisking ourselves off to some perfect days spent with our friends, families and their new spouses, we’re going to take you through some fool proof steps ensuring your the perfect wedding guest, eradicating any fears about what to wear .

After all we want to make the best impression, whether were the oldest singleton there and bound to bump into an ex or were meeting the new, extended family and friends and have run out of wardrobe ideas….Here is the answers…

wedding tips

  1. Always wear comfy shoes, no one wants to be hobbling around and your in them all day. Lets make sure you last well into the night!
  2. Make sure your bag is big enough to fit your essentials but not too heavy to carry around. Perhaps shoulder purses rather than clutches are more practical, and can add lovely shoulder detailing with a nice chain or strap.
  3. Invest in ‘Heel Stoppers’ so when your having your photographs taken in the beautiful parks, your not loosing a few inches by sinking into the grass! Also avoid ruining those lovely heels.
  4. Looking for that all day glow?! Make sure you have Bobbi Brown’s award winning Brightening Finishing Powder. #jjloves
  5. Some people like to be early, time it just right so theres enough people waiting round to gorp at your show stopping outfit!
  6. Don’t wear too much white the bride never wants to be upstaged!- that way anyway!
  7. Don’t forget to turn off your phone!
  8. Remember not to over indulge on the champagne and get too drunk to celebrate!
  9.  BUT don’t forget to enjoy yourself!!

Only problem we’ll be facing is how not to outshine the bride!

Subtle and sweet, our j+j summer collection includes an array of delicate lace dresses in this seasons must have pastel craze….

Sometimes its good to see things in black and white and its clear to see the monochrome trend for SS13 is a winning combination. The celebs are out in full force sporting the hot white blazer with blocks of black and colour so get involved! If you like to keep things simple then this is the perfect style solution for you. We are too in love with our Chloe dress and from the response it seems you are too. Therefore it only seems right to dedicate a few moments into looking at how we can  get the most four of this beautiful dress.

The black and white trend has been seen dominating the runways for SS13 but non more so than at the Marc Jacobs shows. His own label showed a stripy interpretation of the mono trend.  These  some of the fantastic and striking accessories he has to offer us Monochrome enthusiasts!marc jacobs the stylists guide

A stunning Aintree Races outfit idea by our guest blogger from We Shoot Down The Stars For Our Enjoyment!

Last but definitely not least of our week of fabulous guest bloggers, we have one of the members of our amazing Topshop concession team in Liverpool, Sophie, who is also a blogger at We Shoot Down The Stars For Our Enjoyment, letting us know her idea for a perfect Aintree Races outfit!…

Name: Sophie Harry

My Blog: We Shoot Down The Stars For Our Enjoyment

I’ve been blogging since… October 2010

My favourite thing about blogging is… it allows anyone no matter what fashion background they’re from to have an opinion in such a huge industry.

Three words that describe my style are… eclectic creative experimental

If I had a pair of dazzling Cinderella Rocked Her Fella Swarovski Court Shoes I would pair them with… the gorgeous jones + jones Julia dress for Ladies’ Day at Aintree Races!

I wanted to create a look inspired by Blair Waldorf meets Carrie Bradshaw. Jones and Jones dresses are statement pieces in themselves so its easy to accessorise them. I chose nude shades to emphasise the colours in the dress and bring out the sparkle in the shoes. I love the headband as it helps to bring together a girly yet glamorous outfit without trying too hard.

A huge thank you to Sophie for her oh-so-pretty Aintree Races outfit idea! You can find the jones + jones Julia Dress in patchwork sequins on our website here and in our concessions in select Topshop stores including the L1 Shopping Centre in Liverpool, the chic clutch is available on ASOS here and click here for the gorgeous ‘Vintage Jewel Headband’ from ‘Her Curious Nature’!

Sophie’s gorgeous outfit idea rounds up a week full-to-the-brim with couture hats to visors, pastels to glitter and of course crystal encrusted courts and full and flirty dresses! Thank you to all of our amazing guest bloggers for their inspiring outfit ideas for Ladies’ Day at Aintree Races!

We hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Three words that describe my style are… retro, nostalgic, trendy

If I had a pair of dazzling Cinderella Rocked Her Fella Swarovski Court Shoes I would pair them with… this seasons pastel pink jones + jones Audrey dress for Ladies’ Day at Aintree Races!

Plus to compliment the vintage inspiration for Jones + Jones dresses, I would accessories with a wide brim straw visor and retro cat eye sunglasses.  Not forgetting a smart little envelope clutch to carry around my necessities for the day including that all important red lipstick.

Thank you so much to Kylie for her vivacious vintage outfit idea and you can find the jones + jones Audrey Dress in pink on our website here! Check out all of Kylie’s gorgeous accessory picks on ASOS, from the classic clutch here, the stylish visor here and the cute and quirky sunglasses here!

An oh-so-pretty in pastels Aintree Races outfit idea by our guest bloggers from She’s A Secret Shopper!

Day two of our collaborations with our favourite UK bloggers is here and to provide us with inspiration for a perfect Aintree Races outfit, we have the lovely ladies, Amelie and Sienna, from She’s A Secret Shopper

Names: Sienna Winter and Amelie Summer

Our Blog: She’s A Secret Shopper –

We’ve been blogging since… August 2011

Our favourite thing about blogging is… sharing our passions and being able to help and inspire people with the same passions

Three words that describe our style are… Amelie glam, girly & fun/ Sienna chic and girly with an edge

If we had a pair of dazzling Cinderella Rocked Her Fella Swarovski Court Shoes we would pair them with… the flirty and fun statement taupe Laura dress by jones + jones for Ladies’ Day at Aintree Races!

We picked accessories keeping the pastel trend in mind, with the neutral tone of the dress the small colour injections add just the right amount of oomph to the dress without over powering the statement shoes & dress.

We added a simple mint green cocktail ring, an on trend pastel purple clutch, and finished with a dainty bow headband, we didn’t want to over power the dress with an over the top hat.

We think a subtle candy pink lip & mint green nails will finish off the look perfectly.

Thank you to the glamorous Amelie and Sienna for their oh-so-pretty pastel outfit choice! You can click here for the jones + jones Border Laura Dress in taupe and for their accessory choices, check out Yours Clothing here for the statement ring, pop to your nearest Ted Baker for the gorgeous clutch, click here for the oh-so-pretty H&M bow head band and here for the Models Own nail varnish in Jade Stone and last but definitely not least for that perfect pout click here for Topshop’s Powder Room Lip Stick!

Ways to wear: Topshop’s Winnie Wedges!

As soon as the Jones + Jones office saw Topshop’s Winnie Espadrille Wedges in Fuschia we knew we were onto a good thing. T-bar strapping in fuschia suede with stitching detail, these shoes are so hot for the summer.

The Winnie Wedges by Topshop

We starting day dreaming about what we would wear them with and here are a couple of our favourite suggestions…

Starting with the Liberty Rose Print Dresses – the fuschia perfectly matches the rose print and will be the perfect summer accessory to finish off the outfit.

The Phoebe Dress in Liberty Rose Print would look stunning these wedges:

The Jones + Jones Phoebe Dress in Liberty Rose Print

Our next suggestion would be the new Pleated Sarah Dress. Combine the wedges with the white Sarah Dress for a very fresh and feminine look with your tan or with the orange Sarah Dress to show off your fashion trend knowledge by colour blocking in bold and bright pink and orange à la Jil Sander and Prada S/S 2011!

The Jones + Jones Pleated Sarah Dress in orange

And finally any of our cream dresses would look gorgeous with these wedges, and our best seller of season so far is no exception. The Vivienne Dress in pleated cream lace is the perfect summer dress and combined with the perfect summer shoes, you can’t go wrong!

The Jones + Jones Pleated Lace Vivienne Dress in cream

The wedges are available on the Topshop website by clicking here and all of the above dresses and so many more are available on our website by clicking here. The Phoebe Dress in Liberty Rose Print is currently available in our concessions in select Topshop stores now and the Pleated Sarah Dress in all colours will be arriving into our concessions this week!

The fashion industry has a major crush on the glamourous world of ballet at the moment, with so many designers having been clearly influenced by the ballet aesthetic for their Spring/Summer 2011 collections, from Chloe to David Koma  to Jazzkatze to Julien Macdonald! Phew!

The Vivienne dress is currently available on the Jones + Jones website and will be available very soon in a Jones + Jones concession in a Topshop near you for you to dance your way en pointe to purchase!
