Here at jones + jones HQ we are all big fans of reality show Made in Chelsea so we were very excited to spot Cheska Hull wearing the Faye Dress at last nights Beauty Con 2013 party held at Home House. The Beautycon party was attended by the most influential beauty and fashion bloggers in the business and VIP guests included Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts. Cheska attended the party with her Made in Chelsea co-stars Ollie Locke and Ashley James.

Whilst on a design trip to Paris last weekend the jones + jones team were very excited to spot the Florence Dress in Slate Grey in glossy French magazine Style Papers…
The Florence Dress was described as the perfect dress for a petite frame; the daring deep ‘V’ neckline on this dress leads down to the fitted waistband and delicate petals flow to the hem of the skirt, showing just enough shimmering skin to attract all of the right sort of attention!

Meet the jones + jones team…
For the next few weeks we’re giving you an exclusive insight into the jones + jones team who work behind the scenes at our HQ. This week meet Lena our Senior Designer…
Introduce yourself and tell us what you do at jones + jones?
My name is Lena and I work as the Senior Designer here at jones + jones and I manage the design/pattern cutting team. I develop the collections from the very beginning which means trend forecasting and sourcing fabric and trims. I draw the sketches, draft the patterns and check the samples that come back from the factory.
How did you land a job at jones + jones and when did you join the team?
When I moved to London I was keen to work with a designer label, I discovered the brand and I really liked the feminine and edgy style so I applied for a design position and was successful. It’s been nearly two years now that I have been working with jones + jones.
What advice would you give someone wanting to get into your role?
I would say to them that they must be passionate about design as a fashion job isn’t just red carpet glamour. To be a designer you must have a creative mind and know how to translate your sketches into a real garment. You need to show strong knowledge of pattern cutting and garment construction.
What has been your most memorable moment at jones + jones so far?
My most memorable moment would be when I worked on my first collection for jones + jones and saw the photos from the shoot that were taken in Paris. It was an amazing reward to see the dresses worn by models in such a romantic city!
What is your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part is the creation stage. I love researching trends, looking for inspiration and drawing silhouettes.
Favourite jones + jones item?
My favourite dress is the Nita Dress from our AW12 collection. I like the deep V at the front and back. I also love the flower details at the bottom; very feminine and delicate. We have just launched the new SS13 collection and I can tell you that there will be some amazing dresses coming in over the next few months but for now I like the freshness of the Claire Dress in both Mint and Peach.
Who is your style icon?
I would say Vanessa Paradis for her “Boho-chic’ style. She has a very good eye for vintage and knows how to dress with personality. Always so chic and natural!

The Dispatch Assistant will work closely with the e-commerce team, processing orders while also supporting the day to day running of the company.

jones + jones spotted at the NRJ Music Awards…
The 2013 NRJ Music Awards took place on Saturday at the Palaid des Festivals in Cannes and French singers Shy’m and Tal both wowed on the night in jones + jones dresses. Singer Tal performed her song Le Sense de la Vie and looked gorgeous in the Hannah Dress in Silver…
Singer Shy’m also took to the stage in the jones + jones Poppy Dress in Black which she styled with simple make up, black ankle boots and an embellished belt. Shy’m presented the award for international breakthrough artist of the year which went to Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen and took home the award for Best French Female singer of the year which was presented to her by Taylor Swift…
Tal and Shy’m also delivered a special performance together with some of the biggest French artists at the music awards and the pair looked stunning in their jones + jones dresses…
