What do you like most about this dress?

I love everything about this dress! The fab neon colour and the super-flattering shape make it a summer staple for me!

What is your fashion tip to readers for this season?

mix it up! There’s so many fab trends to try out this season, from 90s to monochrome! My advice is to try a bit of each, like me mixing neons and pastel colours in this outfit!

How did you become a blogger?

I got into blogging at Uni because I loved fashion and wanted to try it out on the side of my degree. Now it’s helped me land my dream job in social media!

Blogger of the week – Meet Claudia

Its that time again and this weeks TOP blogger is Claudia. Looking stunning in this beautiful floral liberty print Dress

We asked Claudia a few questions….

What do you love about this dress?

I am absolutely loving this dress! It’s white which is the colour of the season and which will look especially great in the summer against tanned skin. The splashes of colour from the floral pattern are gorgeous and reminiscent of Prada S/S 2013. Loving how versatile it is – I can dress it up or down – and it has a very feminine shape which is great as I am so girly. Plus, I think the bow detail at the back of the dress is just adorable!

What is your top styling tip for SS13?

Colourful floral and digital prints are always fun in spring and summer but I love that monochrome aesthetic is back and I am loving one-colour ensembles with pops of silver or python for this season!

How did you get into blogging?

A friend introduced me to Tumblr in 2010 and I started using my blog as a pinboard of inspirations where I shared images of fashion, art and anything else I liked. I decided to start my personal style blog on Blogspot last March and I am so glad I did – I love showcasing my own outfits and meeting other bloggers, attending blogger events and networking with a lot of interesting people. It’s a wonderful community and, as I am studying Fashion Styling and working as a stylist, my blog is my biggest portfolio.

what do you love about the dress?

I loved the dress the minute i saw it. The combination of the skirt with volume created by the petal, and the super- sleek neckline symmetric to the back is gorgeous. It seems perfect for a special night. It is very sexy and daring yet elegant. I like it in all colours, but I chose black because the color is very elegant and you can add a touch of color with accessories, for example red, but, because it’s Christmas time, in this case, I opted for the gold.

what is your top styling top for the aw12 season?

In my opinion the top trend for AW12 season are the maxi-necklaces. You can add a maxi-collar to any look and get new unique appearance.

In day to day high street fashion we can see people wearing jeans, jackets, looks that are both basic and simple, but if you take notice, more and more people opt to enrich these look with these accessories.

DSC_0701_zps68ac4c57

why did you start your fashion blog and what do you love about blogging?

The fashion world is something that I really love, especially the streetstyle, because of that I started my blog one year ago. My blog talks about the way I dress every day and on special occasions. And because every day is different and we don’t feel the same, every day our clothing serves as an expression of what we feel or think. I have always felt that the way I dress makes me different and I wanted to share it with people. I have really gained from their comments and opinions.

I like to follow and read blogs from all of the world to see how fashion is expressed elsewhere. Today the blogger phenomenon is growing and girls like me are able to express what fashion means to them and share it through our blogs.

KYLIE

Blogger of the week

Read her blog here : www.memoirmode.com

She’s looking fabulous in her Hannah gold dress

KYLIE what do you love about this dress?

I love how quirky and unique it is! The Jones + Jones signature itsy bitsy full skirt with the petticoat is incredibly flattering to the female shape…whatever shape.  I always find Jones + Jones dresses are incredibly well made and look more expensive than they actually are.  With this dress in particular I adore the gold and black lace - perfect for the party season.

What is your top styling tip for the AW season?

I really like contrast when it comes to the colder months and layering.  I will mix over-sized with ultra tight items.  For example I will wear a teeny weeny skirt and a mahoosive top and coat. contrasting fabrics are also fun (tweed and leather). Also its great to through in some colour into an outfit.  We tend to opt for black, grey and neutral shades, but oxblood, reds and purples are a huge trend this season.

What got you into blogging and what do you love about it?

My profession is in digital marketing and when I decided to stay off work for 3 years to take care of my daughter and be a stay at home mum. I wanted to keep busy in the online world.  I treat it as part portfolio and part love and dedication.  It really does become and extension of you.  I love all the pretty clothes I get sent to wear (including Jones + Jones of course), I have been to some amazing events and met lots of wonderful like minded people.  Also it is starting to generate income.. there is nothing better than making money doing something you love.

MARIA !

Our blogger of the week maria styles her stunning Julia patchwork dress…

What do you love about the dress?

The dress is perfection. Firstly, it’s unusual in comparisons to the dresses that are being put on for the festive season. This has an elegant but girly rather than sensual edge to it. The 50s cut with the wide petticoat skirt makes for a tiny waist and skinnier and longer looking legs, so it adds height and reduces a few pounds. That’s a massive plus. The other aspect that I absolutely love is the simple, yet stunning top. No specific girly pattern of sequins, which I always find a bit too much, high closed neckline for lots of elegance, but then you see the back of the dress and it’s just like BOOM! You just don’t expect that at all with this dress and that’s what I love.

What is your top styling tip for the AW12 Season?

Winter is all about layering as always. No one wants to look twice their size, right? So I’d stock up on some cosy tights, biker boots (no good wearing pretty heels when the ground is all frozen and slippery), a cute pattern jumper and a furry coat. Sticking to maroon/oxblood/burgundy colours and black & gold is definitely a good idea this season!

What do you love about blogging and how long have you been blogging for?

I’ve been blogging for 2 years this month, actually! I’ve been absolutely loving it. Of course it’s sometimes a rollercoaster ride when people don’t comment or seem to like what I’m writing about – I do write with my readers in mind. I want them to find what I’m sharing interesting or provocative, etc. I’ve made some great friends along the way of blogging as well and I’ve found a community that I think gets me and my passions and my urge of oversharing a lot more than most of the people in my ‘real life’. That gives me a sense of belonging

As soon as I saw the dress it reminded me of Mila Kunis’ campaign for Miss Dior handbags, it looks so classic but is also cute. I wanted to try to copy the styling – especially the sweet little bow in her hair. The dress is so perfectly on trend, the fit and flare shape is still such a key look and is perfect for the festive party season.

I’m a big fan of vintage and styled the look with a little vintage croc-skin clutch bag and a pair of black shoe boots that were a hand-me-down from a friend. For this winter I can’t wait to get wrapped up in embellished coats like a Tsarina. The catwalks were full of gorgeous brocade and furs, which are perfect for keeping warm too. Think Anna Karenina.

Blogging seemed so natural to me, I love to write and share my experiences of the places I’ve been and the things I’ve seen. I’m also obsessed with taking photos, although I don’t claim to be the greatest photographer in the world! I don’t just solely focus on fashion, art and culture are just as important to me. Checking other people’s blogs can be such a great tool to find out what’s new and emerging before the big publication have a chance to print them

An oh-so-pretty in pastels Aintree Races outfit idea by our guest bloggers from She’s A Secret Shopper!

Day two of our collaborations with our favourite UK bloggers is here and to provide us with inspiration for a perfect Aintree Races outfit, we have the lovely ladies, Amelie and Sienna, from She’s A Secret Shopper

Names: Sienna Winter and Amelie Summer

Our Blog: She’s A Secret Shopper – http://shesasecretshopper.com

We’ve been blogging since… August 2011

Our favourite thing about blogging is… sharing our passions and being able to help and inspire people with the same passions

Three words that describe our style are… Amelie glam, girly & fun/ Sienna chic and girly with an edge

If we had a pair of dazzling Cinderella Rocked Her Fella Swarovski Court Shoes we would pair them with… the flirty and fun statement taupe Laura dress by jones + jones for Ladies’ Day at Aintree Races!

We picked accessories keeping the pastel trend in mind, with the neutral tone of the dress the small colour injections add just the right amount of oomph to the dress without over powering the statement shoes & dress.

We added a simple mint green cocktail ring, an on trend pastel purple clutch, and finished with a dainty bow headband, we didn’t want to over power the dress with an over the top hat.

We think a subtle candy pink lip & mint green nails will finish off the look perfectly.

Thank you to the glamorous Amelie and Sienna for their oh-so-pretty pastel outfit choice! You can click here for the jones + jones Border Laura Dress in taupe and for their accessory choices, check out Yours Clothing here for the statement ring, pop to your nearest Ted Baker for the gorgeous clutch, click here for the oh-so-pretty H&M bow head band and here for the Models Own nail varnish in Jade Stone and last but definitely not least for that perfect pout click here for Topshop’s Powder Room Lip Stick!

Watch this space tomorrow for a stunning outfit choice from Kim at Kinsey’s Blog!

A gorgeous Aintree Races outfit idea by guest blogger RosieGlow!

This week we’ll be bringing you five extra special blogs from five of our favourite UK bloggers! We’ve asked them to let us know how they would style a jones + jones outfit perfect for Aintree Races with a dazzling pair of ‘Original’ Swarovski courts from Cinderella Rocked Her Fella!…

To kick start the week we have the gorgeous Rosie Blake from RosieGlow

Name: Rosie Blake

My Blog: RosieGlow – www.rosie-glow.blogspot.co.uk

I’ve been blogging since…September 2010

My favourite thing about blogging is… Having an excuse to wear outfits that might be too fun/edgy/over-the-top for normal life most of the time!

Three words that describe my style are… Eclectic, vintage, fun!

If I had a pair of dazzling Cinderella Rocked Her Fella Swarovski Court Shoes I would pair them with… the beautiful jones + jones Nicky Dress in Cream for Ladies’ Day at Aintree Races!

It’s the perfect chic-but-edgy dress, with cut-out detailing and a huge bow fastening at the back – it’s any fashionista’s dream dress for the races! I’d pair mine with an edgy headband like this huge glitter bow from Crown and Glory, for a fashion-forward take on the hat tradition!

A huge thank you to Rosie for sharing her feminine yet edgy styling tips with us and you can check out her choice of the jones + jones Nicky Dress in cream on our website here! Check out tomorrows blog for a stunning outfit choice from the girls from the amazing ‘She’s A Secret Shopper’!
