With the Diamond Jubilee now upon us and London hosting the 2012 Olympics this summer we are feeling very patriotic here at jones + jones HQ!

To celebrate all things beautifully British two members of the jones + jones team were treated to a fabulous Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge and as they enjoyed it so much we decided to offer you the chance to win the same fabulous experience for you and a friend plus a jones + jones dress of your choice to make sure you look oh-so-stylish for tea! We dined in the stylish Caramel Room, a relaxed and friendly setting, perfect for chic fashionistas who wish to sample the mouth-watering delights of the pret-a-portea menu. The Berkeley base their afternoon tea on current themes and colours of the fashion world and the menu is transformed every six months to follow the changing seasons in fashion…

Service was excellent and as soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Carlos, our friendly waiter for the afternoon who brought a glass of champagne to our table and went through the menu in great detail explaining exactly which designer each cake and biscuit we were about to receive was inspired by. To start with, a plate of sandwiches and rolls was brought over in an assortment of scrumptious flavours including Coronation chicken, egg mayonnaise, cucumber and tuna…

This was followed shortly by the famous three-tier cake stand which looks even more delicious in real life than it does in photos! The lower plate was savory based and featured taster spoons and canapés of savory delights including chilli beef and salmon covered in poppy seeds. The next two plates were the main attractions and featured a selection of gorgeous cakes and biscuits which looked too good to eat. Each and every one was truly delicious but some of our favourites included the Dolce & Gabbana blueberry sponge cake in the shape of a bag, the Miu Miu vanilla bikini biscuit and the Jason Wu cherry bavarois and coconut cream mouse topped with a skirt and biscuit heel…

The treats were washed down with a tea of your choice, we went for the posh pomelo & melon and the wild blossom and berries – both were delightful. All teas are served on fine-bone china designed by British designer Paul Smith which adds to the glamour of the experience…

Cakes and biscuits are unlimited so feel free to ask for another plate so you can sample all the flavours, any cakes you cannot finish are given to you at the end in a pret-a-portea box to take home and enjoy!…

And to make sure we looked super stylish for the day we wore items from the jones + jones S/S 2012 collection including the oh-so-pretty Audrey dress in black and the striking red rose Anastasia Blazer teamed with luxurious leather bags available now in our Saint Tropez boutique!…
