The Jones + Jones office are SO excited about the Grand National this year! All of the glitz and glamour of Ladie’s Day and a chance to win money too – how exciting!
We thought we’d give you a few ideas for an outfit as it’s all happening next week and let’s be honest you need to plan ahead for these things!
We have done the browsing for you so sit back, relax and get clicking…
For a fabulous floral frock look no further than the Audrey dress in red poppy print…
Karen Millen have a range of accessories that match up pretty much perfectly with our poppy print…
They also have a matching bag but that might be a little too matchy-matchy so we recommend if you go for the printed shoes you then compliment them with a plainer bag in either red, white or cream. We like this statement red satin clutch with metalwork also from Karen Millen – have a look here or if you’d prefer a strap, the Abbey Bag from Jaeger is perfect, click here to see this. Click here for the Izzy Bag in red from KG by Kurt Geiger, which has the best of both worlds as its a clutch with a strap and the metal stud detail will link in with the detailing on the Karen Millen Shoes too!
Reiss have a great selection of white and cream clutches and our favourite is definitely the Victoria Jewel Clasp Bag in cream, (you will find it here), as its a statement piece without being too overly detailed and it has a small gold chain so you can use it as a clutch or a shoulder bag – great for when your hands get tired from filling out all of those winning betting slips!
If you’d prefer to go for a more detailed bag such as the Karen Millen floral print bag – see it here – you would be better with a plainer shoe so as not to overwhelm the outfit with too much print and detail. We love the Celtic 3 Shoes by Nine West in red patent leather – ladylike retro with abit of attitude, find them here. You can’t go wrong with the Carvela Andora Courts in red, click here and if you still want to make a statement with your shoes without using print try the Echinacea Shoes in red from KG by Kurt Geiger (and they’re in sale too!), see them here!
Interms of accessories, a skinny belt would be great to accentuate your waist and a fascinator or beautiful head band from Chapeau Claudette would be the perfect finishing touch – check out their website here. A statement necklace could be nice but it may be better to leave the prints as they are – but a bracelet or bangle couldn’t hurt!
The Audrey Dress in red poppy is available in our concessions in Topshop and on our website, here!
Jones+Jones are delighted to introduce Michelle Mc Mahon a very dedicated fan we all love and the winner of our “Styled in Jones+Jones” Facebook competition.
Michelle looking stunning in the jones+jones Cream Kylie Dress describes why she loves fashion and talks about her passion for Jones+Jones.
Name: Michelle Mc Mahon
Why do you love Jones + Jones?
I love Jones + Jones because the styles are always feminine and classy but with a funky edge. I think if Audrey Hepburn was around now and shopping on the high street she’d opt for Jones + Jones!
What influenced how you styled your Jones + Jones garment in your photo?
The holiday pic shows the dress without a lot of styling. After a long day trekking around in the sun it was lovely to just whip on the dress, some heels and pearl earrings and feel ready for the night. Other Jones + Jones dresses I own I have accessorised with flower corsages, beaded belts and statement shoes, but this picture is keeping it nice and simple, I think the dress makes enough of a statement on it’s own.
Who is your style icon?
I adore old movies so Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and the likes are hugely influential fashion figures for me. On a more modern note I think Emma Watson has fabulous fashion sense.
Who is your favourite Fashion designer?
I was in tears when I read about John Galliano’s incident a while back. He is an immensely talented man who can make something that would not be out of place in Alice in Wonderland suddenly covetable for every fashion fan. I hope his career is not over and I hope he never does or says something so stupid and thoughtless again.
What is your biggest Fashion faux pas?
I blame my mother for some hideous outfits in my youth but in all honestly I have only myself to blame for many others. White cowboy boots with a silver sequin design down the side stand out the most…
What is your greatest Fashion success?
I hosted a show once where I paired a Primark dress with Swarovski jewellery and Vera Wang bridal shoes, and I don’t think I have ever had as many compliments for a dress. Proves it’s all in the styling!
What is your favourite Jones + Jones Dress from the S/S 2011 collection so far and why?
I think the line dress in cream is DIVINE. Short enough to be cheeky and fun, but with the long sleeves so you aren’t flashing too much flesh. Lace is everywhere this season so that lined bodice is bang on trend and all I’ll need to rock it is a tan, some shoes and a smile!
The Jones + Jones office love the summertime…the bright sunshine, the glamorous holidays, the romantic late evenings and of course to compliment all of these fun things to look forwards to… the chance to update our wardrobes and show off our figures after months of covering up for fear of frostbite!
At Jones + Jones we’re all about stunning dresses that show off your every curve and reveal just the right amount to turn heads while still leaving them wanting to find out more. We have already had some amazing summer dresses arriving onto our website and into our concessions in select Topshop stores and we thought we’d share with you our favourites so far this season to get you into the summertime mood ahead of the clocks changing to mark the official beginning of summer on Sunday!

Jones + Jones were thrilled to be asked to feature in the DCU Fashion Show in association with Diet Coke, which took place on Tuesday evening this week!
Over 1000 students attended the show, which was in aid of  the Temple Street Children’s Hospital and featured twelve glamorous Jones + Jones looks alongside other high street and designer brands and ideas submitted for the young designer competition, for which students from fashion design schools in Ireland can enter garments to win a prize!
The theme of the show was ‘Cobble Couture’, which the DCU website described as “inspired by the array of styles seen every day on life’s catwalk: the streets” – they even included witty backdrops of a high street including a Spar shop!
Our amazing Jones + Jones Concessions Manager in Dublin was there to see all the glitz and glamour and she very kindly took some photos for us as well!
The response from the audience was great and even the models had their eyes on a couple of our dresses!
For all of the garments above check out our website here or go to one of our concessions in select Topshop stores!
Thank you to Jennifer Hyland and Zara Andrews for all of there support and hard work!
The Jones + Jones office were very excited to find out that Lola, the amazing new girl group from the ITV2 show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’, asked to wear dresses from the Jones + Jones S/S 2011 collection for a recent photo shoot!
Lola describes themselves as Loveable Outrageous Loud and Ambitious and we think they’re oh-so-glamorous and gorgeous as well !
Even better is that we have an exciting sneak preview from the photoshoot….
We love the accessories Lauren wears with the Jones + Jones Air Dress - the skinny belt emphasizes her waist and the shoes add a splash of colour…not to mention the cute ‘L’ necklace!
Check out all the latest gossip and news from Lola on their Facebook page here!
We love your style girls!

Available in black and white, choose to compliment your mood – black for when you’re feeling seductive and sultry and white if you’re feeling charming yet cheeky! The perfect dress for a pay weekend night out!
And did we mention that peplums were big on the catwalk for S/S 2011 too…

Our best selling dress of the season so far and our best selling style of dress in the history of Jones + Jones, the simply stunning Vivienne Dress in cream lace is arriving back into some of our concessions in select Topshop stores today!
And why, you may ask , is the Vivienne Dress so special that it continually sells out as soon as it arrives into many of our concessions (sometimes our wonderful concessions managers and assistants don’t even have chance to put these dresses on hangers as customers are taking them out of the delivery box!)…well let me tell you…
The ultra feminine full skirted silhouette leads up to a sleeveless, high necked bodice of lined and tailored cream lace. A deep ‘V’ back with sheer lace panels leading to a gorgeous petite bow at the waist, revealing just the right amount of skin to be sexy and charming without being too showy. The fine lace pleats in cream lay softly on top of the under skirt, propped up with a net trimmed petticoat, accentuating your curves. And last but not least the delicate cream lace next to your skin is oh-so-pretty…need I say more?
One of our favourite bloggers, RosieGlow showed us how she styles her Vivienne Dress in lace cream on her blog on Thursday…check it out here!
We love accessorizing with ribbons too Rosie!
Find the Jones + Jones Vivienne Dress in cream lace in our concessions in Topshop or on our website here…but hurry before they sell out again!
